I’ve done ALOT of research on each and every element of my pattern. There is so much that went into the creation of this one pattern which will definitely be one of many. There was no rush in creating my very first pattern because I really wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. While doing my research, I felt that whatever I came out with, had to scream “TABITHA!“ I want you to look at it and know that it’s totally something that would come out of my closet.

Now, I cannot and will not take credit for everything that went into this dream. I connected with several amazing people that used their god-given talent to help me execute. I want to send a special thank you to everyone that had their hand in this project. You are absolutely incredible! I could not have had anyone else work on this project but you all. You all are seriously the best!

So, let’s talk about the dress! This design is vintage inspired, girly, and fun. I love that its a classic design with a extra special something to make it stand out. I love details, so I had to make sure that the details in this dress stood out.

The LENA HORNE dress is your go-to dress for brunch, day time shopping, and/or an afternoon date. Its made with the warmer weather in mind, however during Fall and Winter, It can easily be worn over turtlenecks and fitted long sleeve t-shirts. The dress includes an invisible side zipper which is perfect because it doesn’t disrupt the beautiful design of the dress. The dress also comes in two lengths; knee length and midi. However, feel free to make adjustments in the length to create whatever would be comfortable for you.

There are so many hacks that I can see done with this dress. The possibilities are endless. I’m looking forward to trying the dress without the ruffles as well. I think it will be a fun look. Or maybe just ruffles on the shoulders. There are so many ideas! I’m excited to sew and share them with you all.
