TS Studios: Button Shop and Production!

I’m so excited to finally be sharing the final spaces with you all! This week is one of my favorites: The Button Shop! Remember when my basement was all of the studios? One of the best things about this space is that I was finally able to spread everything out and dedicate areas to each aspect of my business. The Button Shop is where we package all of your button, buckle, and other merch orders!

The cabinets were one of the most expensive pieces of the section. While the cabinets themselves weren’t very expensive (I shopped clearance for defective pieces!) we still had a ways to go in order to make them perfect for the space! There were minor defects on the cabinets we purchased (like missing panels, screws, handles, etc.) that we had to fix up first! To start off, we colorblocked the cabinets by painting them lavender and emerald green. We found some handles we loved on Amazon and spray painted them gold for the aesthetic I wanted. The most expensive part of this entire section was the island legs. We found them at our local hardware store but they were definitely the priciest portion of this shop space makeover! For the countertops, I loved the look of the natural wood because of how luxe it is. So we went in and coated them in an ultra matte poly acrylic coating. I just love how stunning it looks and how perfect it is for taking photos for the ‘Gram!

I have two favorite parts of this space: First is my Pattern Wall! I took my pattern covers and blew them up at the local copy shop to create these fun prints! You know how my pattern envelopes are holographic? I found this holographic wrapping paper at Dollar Tree (of all places!) to back the prints with so would really look like my patterns were giant and hanging on the wall. We found the frames at Target so thankfully those weren’t too expensive!

My second favorite part of this space is the Button Wall itself! Before, my buttons were stored in these little plastic drawers. While it worked well at the time, we realized after moving in that it would be easier to store and see if we put them in these clear jars. It’s made things so much easier because we can look quickly and see which buttons we need to grab to package and ship or see which options we’re low on (plus they make the shop look like a candy shop)! The IKEA shelving is definitely a great plus that gives us a lot more room to store and add even more options! Oh! And for those of you wondering, I had this sign made out of acrylic of one of my favorite quotes from Biggie in Juicy to finish off the space!
