Old is New Again

If you have children, you can definitely relate with me. I have a beautiful 4 yr old baby girl and a handsome 1 yr old baby boy that love crafting like me.  They love drawing, and painting ON MY FURNITURE!  Ugghhh....You can feel my irritation right?  It doesn't matter how much paper I give my son, he just puts his artwork on everything but...kidsart

So, before I show you my before pictures don't judge me. LOL! I should have completed this DIY a long time ago because the dried in food, spilled juice, and artwork isn't a pleasant site. ChairsCollagechairpic Before, the cushion on my chairs were a cream colored upholstery fabric.  This time, I wanted to make sure that I protected my beautiful fabric that I chose, so I first chose a clean, white upholstery fabric with embossed circles and on top I added a light vinyl. I chose a white fabric because it has a clean, fresh finish and the vinyl will make it harder for food and drinks to stain my cushions.

Paint it, stain it, then reupholster it.  Here is the tutorial on how you can easily upcycle your old dining chairs.  If you haven't already, please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and comment and like this post if you are excited about Home Décor DIYs.
