Spring Fling

The weather has been so crazy lately right? But, that's not going to keep me from wanting to start Spring early. I must say, Fall and Spring are my two favorite seasons. The colors and perfect temperature that each season brings just makes me so very happy and inspired.

So for my first "Sew with Me" video for Spring, I chose to make a peplum top using McCalls 6896.  I promise you guys, this pattern is extremely easy.  You can probably make a couple of these on a lazy Saturday.  I would definitely make another one very soon.  This top is perfect for outings wth your girls, a date with your man, or just a regular shopping trip at the mall.  The shape of a peplum is so flattering on so many shapes and it's perfect for every age group, so why not make one!?

So for Spring, I wanted start off by bringing the floral print and bold Spring colors.  As soon as I saw this fabric (from JoAnn Fabrics), I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it and had my outfit already put together in mind. Since the top was quite bold with color, I decided to style my peplum top with a few simple, neutral pieces.  I paired my peplum with some white skinny jeans and nude pumps. I pulled the pink out of the shirt with a bold pink lip (Nyx Shocking Pink) and a clutch I made myself.

After watching the video, please head on over to my YouTube video and "Thumbs Up" the video and if you haven't already, subscribe to my channel so you won't miss out.  Thank you for stopping by. XOXO
