How to Install an Invisible Zipper

Invisible zippers have been my go-to closure for a majority of my clothing items that I've made thus far.  It has a really neat and clean finish and best of all, it's easy to do.

I remember when I first got introduced to sewing these type of zippers. The one thing that deterred me away from sewing these zippers was the zipper foot. I really hated changing out my sewing foot to install my zippers.  While watching my mother sew all  of the years, I noticed that she very rarely changes out her sewing foot and one day I set out to find the type of foot that she uses for everyday sewing and zipper installations.  To be honest, a lot of seamstresses may disagree with this, but I am a new generation seamstress and I am all about efficiency.  If I can find a way to do something easy and fast with a quality outcome, I'm all for it. In the video, I show you the sewing foot that I use for just about everything....and I mean everything (except button holes ofcourse). The proper name for the sewing foot that I use is the Singer® Vertical Needle Zipper Foot.  You can find it in JoAnn Fabrics.
