Bible Verse Clothing Tags

In the world of fashion, adding a personal touch to your creations can make them truly special. One unique way to infuse your garments with meaning and inspiration is by incorporating Bible verses into your designs. In this blog post, we'll guide you through the process of creating Bible verse clothing tags for your jackets, combining the art of sewing and the power of scripture.

Materials Needed:

  1. Fabric (must be at least 70% polyester fabric)

  2. Brother Sublimation Printer

  3. Brother Sublimation Paper

  4. Iron-on Laminate Vinyl

  5. Medium Weight Interfacing (stiffens the fabric)

  6. Teflon Sheet

  7. Sewing Machine (This machine is my current fave)

  8. Heat Press or Iron

  9. Bible Verses (chosen according to your preference)

For an easy to watch visual on how I do this, feel free to watch the TUTORIAL on my instagram.

Step 1: Designing the Tag

Start by selecting the fabric for your clothing tags. Opt for a material that is compatible with sublimation printing. Create a design for your tag that includes the chosen Bible verse. For this I use photoshop, but you can use whatever software you have. Once you’ve created your tag, save as a .png or .jpg file.

Step 2: Sublimation Printing

Upload the designed tags into your Brother Artpira. Ensure that the size of the print is to your liking. Once printed, you'll witness the vibrant transfer of the design onto the fabric, infusing your tags with the chosen Bible verses. Press onto your fabric. I use 369 degress and 1 min 30 sec. To protect the fabric, I also use a teflon sheet to prevent from burning the fabric. Iron the interfacing to the back of the fabric.

Step 3: Adding Durability with Iron-on Vinyl

To enhance the longevity of your clothing tags, take the extra step of applying iron-on vinyl. Cut the vinyl according to the size of the tags and use a heat press or iron to carefully adhere the vinyl to the fabric. This protective layer adds durability to the tag.

Step 4: Sewing the Tags

Now that your tags are printed and reinforced with iron-on vinyl, it's time to sew them onto your jackets. Use a sewing machine to attach the tags securely to the inside of each jacket. This step adds a handmade touch to your creations and ensures the tags stay in place for the long run.
