Heeeeyyy Hei Hei

If you had three days to create the most EPIC costume, what would you create? Last week, on Oct 23, 2019, I took you all on a journey with me in recreating this super awesome costume. Moana is one of our favorite movies and Hei Hei is our most favorite character. LOL! He is so cooky and he makes my family and I laugh out loud.

So to create this costume, all I had was an illustration and my creativity. I purchased all of my supplies from Joann Stores and headed down the road of creative freedom. This blog post isn’t a tutorial on how to create this costume, but to show you how I did it and maybe to inspire you to create without fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are inevitable. HEI HEI WON!!!! YAAAYYYYY! My daughter’s age group is 9-11 years old. She won 1st place in her age group. First place winners receive a bouquet of mums and a cash prize.

My kids really look forward to this every year. Its so exciting for them to get dressed up in these elaborate costumes and prance around and get so much attention from people. Every year, people always stop and ask for a photo with them and they love it. This yr, my daughter was ready! I heard her in the back seat talking to her little brother “Tyler get ready for all the attention! We are gonna be famous because everyone is going to take our picture.” LOL! I loved listening to their little conversation. This is such a beautiful memory they will always have; our family creating the most EPIC halloween experience they will never forget.
